JOB DESCRIPTION
Roles & Responsibilities ·
To utilize his/her skills and knowledge within the Health Services and ensure the provision of Professional nursing care within the scope of practice of a professional person who is registered under the Nursing Act of 2005 as amended, and in line with the Harmony Health Strategy. ·
Comply with other relevant legislation and best practice principles and to ensure the quality and quantity of work as a priority.·
Provide a quality Client Care Services by assessing client health profile, planning, managing and evaluating the nursing care plans and ensure appropriate referrals·
Ensure effective Acute and Chronic disease management·
Infection Control and Waste management·
Supervision of subordinates, monitor their performance and conduct workplace training.·
General Nursing Administration and Cost Control·
To ensure that Mine Health and Safety accountabilities are complied with.·
Align self and sub-ordinates to the Pro-active Health Care strategy, Company values and code of conduct·
Participate in the Internal and external audits
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree/Diploma in General Nursing.
Diploma in Primary Health Care/Clinical Nursing Science, Health, Assessment, Treatment and care.
Currently registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
At least 2-3 years’ experience in Primary Health setting.
Knowledge of Adult Primary Care (APC) Clinical Assessment and Management·
Dispensing Certificate/License.
Must be able to use own initiative·
To be computer Literate.
Have good interpersonal skills and customer relations.
Excellent communication Skills.
To be able to work independently and updated with latest development
Advantageous: ·
Other recognized post basic qualification in clinical nursing where applicable.·
Occupational Health Diploma/Experience·
BANC, and NIMAART trained·
BLS Certificate
