TREASURY DEPARTMENT
CASHIER
(TASK GRADE 5)
Salary: R109, 930.98 to R141, 977.10 per annum (Excluding all benefits)
Requirements: Senior Certificate with Accounting
Computer Literacy
one (1) year relevant experience with figures and cash collection with proven track record and traceable references
Job Purpose: Performs the tasks/activities associated with receiving and receipting payments for services/products from the public and reconciliation of total collections against receipts and banking.
Key Performance Areas: Collecting payments tendered and verifying totals against amount due
Issuing receipts reflecting the amount tendered and confirming transaction recording with the customer
reconcile cash received against receipts issued to the customers
verifying cash receipts against cash or cheque totals with the Supervisor and rectify deviations in recordings prior to forwarding for banking
Maintaining a safe and secure system for the safe-keeping of cash, cheques and other forms of payment.
OTHER POST
CHIEF STOREKEEPER•
(TASK GRADE 8)
Salary: R175 756. 56 – R228 151. 32 per annum (Excluding all benefits)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics (NQF7)
Drivers licence code EB/B
Computer Literacy in Office Applications
3 years’ experience in stores or inventory management. Job Purpose: Controls the receipting, storage and movement of stock items by applying specific procedures to enable identification with replenishing/order requirements and controlling of stock movement.
Key Performance Areas: Executing specific applications associated with controlling the receiving, storage and issue of stock items
Coding stock received in accordance with control procedure
monitoring stock levels against established safety stock level and identifying slow moving items
Updating stock registers and control sheets
Supervising and controlling tasks/activities associated with personnel performance, productivity and discipline within the section
Performs specific administrative tasks/activities associated with the functionality.
Any appointment that promotes representivity in all categories and levels within the workforce of the Council will gain preference.
OTHER POST
STORES ATTENDANT
(Task Grade 4)
Salary: R 99 980.61 to R126 101. 20 (Excluding all benefits)
Requirements:
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
Computer Literacy in Office Applications
6 – 12 months relevant experience
Job Purpose: Process the movement of materials and items to/from the stores, and undertakes clerical activities/tasks associated with checking, updating, completing documentation, forms and schedules.
Key Performance Areas: Checking physical items/products and confirming that details recorded on transactional documentation corresponds with receipts
issuing items/products against requisitions
loading and offloading goods/stock from and onto delivery vehicles
checking goods for quantity received/issued on delivery notes
